Old Parliament House and Curtilage Heritage Management Plan – Invitation for Public Comment
The Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House (MoAD OPH), in consultation with the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment (DAWE), has drafted a replacement of the Heritage Management Plan for Old Parliament House and Curtilage (King George Terrace, Parkes, ACT).
Under the Environment Protection Biodiversity and Conservation Act 1999, MoAD OPH and the DAWE invite comments on the draft replacement of the heritage management plan from members of the public, indigenous people with rights and interests in the place, any ACT Government agency responsible for the site, organisations or other groups with interests in the place.
Comments received will allow us to address public perceptions and concerns regarding the place prior to preparation of a final draft for formal submission to the Minister.
How to participate
The consultation period is open from Thursday 10 September to Wednesday 7 October 2020. During this period you can view a copy of the draft plan online. Alternatively, you can request to view a hard copy draft by corresponding with the contact officer below.
