The exploring democracy interactive resource explores democracy using the following three tools:
- Timeline: Milestones in Australian History contains over 500 milestones that mark key events and turning points in Australian democracy. It takes you on a virtual journey through time and place, and glimpse key moments in the history of democratic ideas, laws and institutions;
- Six trails defining Events and Places, Early Lives, Landmark Speeches, Parliament, Places of Commemoration, Rule of Law; and
- People. Listed alphabetically, key information about individuals who have contributed to our democracy.
