Professor Joan Beaumont, Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, The Australian National University, is an internationally recognized historian of Australia in the two world wars, the history of prisoners of war and the memory and heritage of war.

The Museum of Australian Democracy acknowledges Australia's First Nations peoples as the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia.
