The Iran–Israel War was an armed conflict that took place in June at the same time that Israel was involved in a war with Hamas in Gaza. On 13 June Israel attacked Iranian nuclear and military facilities, assassinated prominent military leaders, politicians and nuclear scientists, and killed civilians. Iran responded by launching missiles and suicide drones, which hit civilian population centres and military and government locations. The United States brokered a ceasefire, and the conflict ended after 12 days.
