Et Tu, Michele?

Treasurer Jim Chalmers dressed as Julius Caesar has been stabbed in the back by percentages. He says, 'Et tu, RBA?' Governor of the Reserve Bank Michele Bullock says, 'C'mon Jim it was 6-3.'

Et tu, Brute? (‘You too, Brutus?’) is what Shakespeare depicts Julius Caesar as saying after he realises that his former ally and friend Brutus is one of his assassins. It was expected that the RBA would cut the cash rate again in July, but the board governors voted 6–3 to hold it steady.
