Day 13 - Make an animal diorama
Today we're celebrating World Habitat Day. A habitat is where an animal or person lives. Some animals’ habitats are under threat from human impact and natural disasters. Without a good place to live, eat, and sleep it's hard for animals to survive.
Pick an animal - it could be your favourite, or one you want to learn about.
Let's make a diorama for your animal. A diorama is a small, three-dimensional model of where your animal lives in nature. You might make a jungle canopy for a monkey, an underwater scene for a shark, or maybe a wombat hole.
Get an empty cardboard box and start creating. You can use whatever materials you have around you to decorate. Look for feathers, tissue paper and recycled materials.
