Meet the Press
Bookings essential, places limited.
20 min tour
Free ticketed tour departs King’s Hall at 11:00 and 2:00 each day Monday to Friday, and at 2:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
Don’t miss this special tour which offers insights into the media’s operations at Old Parliament House between 1927 and 1988, and its continuing role in a healthy democracy.
The 20 minute tour explores the former Press Gallery and introduces you to the Parliamentary Broadcasting Studio and the contemporary Truth, Power and a Free Press exhibition.
The tour shines a light on the working conditions of the Press Gallery – built to accommodate a handful of newspaper journalists – and on some of the key technological changes in an evolving media landscape. It also prompts us to consider our own responsibilities in how we consume and share information.
Book your tickets below and before you visit, read this important information about how we’re working together to keep everyone safe.
